Use the software on several PCs at the same time
If you want to use the software from several PCs with the same data, you must operate the software in "portable mode". In portable mode, all data is stored in the program directory. So it doesn't matter who is logged on to the PC. You can then store all data on a single USB stick, external hard drive, shared folder or cloud storage. This can also be on a PC where the folder is shared with the other PC.To be able to use the Easy Invoice software in portable mode, please go through the following steps:
1. Make a backup copy in advance via Easy Invoice (menu bar above -> backup copy)
2. Copy the program directory to another location, e.g. a separate folder on your hard drive, a USB stick or on a cloud storage device. It is important that the program has write access to its own program directory. In the installation folder C:\Programs (x86)\PepperTools\ this is not the case with Windows, which is why you should create your own folder here. This is the case as soon as you create the folder yourself.
3. Start the software from there and after the start go to the settings -> Activate there on the first visible page "Software is in portable mode"
4. The program then no longer searches for the data in the user-dependent Windows directory %APPDATA%, but in the program directory. That's why it looks like the data is gone after the restart - but the software is now just looking for the data in a different place. Now you can import the backup copy again so that the data is visible in the program directory and again. Of course you don't need to do this if you haven't entered anything yet.
If you have not carried out step 1 beforehand, you can deactivate the "portable mode" again and then carry out it again.
Share the folder on the network to be able to start the software from any PC. You can then start the software in the folder from any PC and always have the same data available.
