Update: Data is missing

Have you possibly selected a date range in the document overview so that you do not see any invoices within this range?

Data missing after update

The update does not include a database file, so the old one is not overwritten.

Mainly the program file - which does not contain any data from you - is exchanged and provides the most current version. When overwriting the files, it can happen that your antivirus program prevents the overwriting of the files. In this case the update would not be carried out. But then the database would not be affected either, since it is in a different directory. The directory is: %APPDATA%\EasyInvoice\

Portable mode

Did you run the software in portable mode before? This is normally done when the software is to be accessible from several PCs. Then the data is stored in the application's directory. An update is not a problem here either. Only if you then take a new setup file would it be installed alongside this version and not run in portable mode. Then when you start the newly installed version it would appear as if all the data was gone - but when you start the old version everything is there.

Checking the data folder

Please press the Windows key + R at the same time. Enter %APPDATA% and confirm. A folder opens. Now click into the EasyInvoice subfolder. ALL of your data is stored here. Please also check the "Invoices" subfolder here. There should also be a lot of PDF documents here. 4 PDF files must exist for each document created. If this is the case ?

Anti-virus software

One possibility is that your antivirus program quarantined or deleted the database file. Then the database would be zero again. The file is called:
BillsWrite.s3db - please check if that was the case. You can get information about this directly in the interface of your antivirus program. If that were the case, then everything would really have to be gone - from the invoice to your settings such as stationery, etc.

Alternatively, the only thing that helps is to import a backup that you have made using the backup copy function of the software.
