Billing / invoice software for your small business

Support - frequently asked questions

Manage multiple companies at the same time

Manage several companies / several versions with different data on one PC

In order to be able to have several databases - e.g. for different companies - on one PC, the software must be operated in the so-called "portable mode". As a result, the data is no longer stored centrally in a directory, but in the software directory. This means that you can copy the program as often as you like and thus have different databases with different or the same licenses. Advantage of the whole: you can also share the folder in the network and use it on other PCs.

Please do the following:

1. If you already have important data in the software, use the backup function in Easy Invoice to save your data.
2. Create your own folder on your hard drive, e.g. C:\Commercial\
3. Open the program folder under C:\Programs (x86)\PepperTools\
Here you will find the folder with Easy Invoice. In this folder, the software has no write rights through Windows, which is why you have to copy this folder. Copy it to C:\Commercial\ in your own folder. Feel free to rename this folder so that you can identify Company 1.
4. Start the software in this new folder. To do this, go to your new folder and start the “InvoicesWrite.exe” file
5. After the start, go to the settings -> On the first visible page, activate "Software is in portable mode"
6. The program then no longer searches for the data in the user-dependent Windows directory %APPDATA%, but in the program directory. That's why it looks like the data is gone after the restart - but the software is now just looking for the data in a different place. If necessary, you can now import the backup copy again so that the data is in the program directory.

Now the new folder is independent and all data will be stored in this folder when using this version. Copy this folder a second time and give the copy the name of Company 2.

Now you have 2 different independent installations. If you have not restored the data using the backup copy function, each copy will ask for the license key again. Enter each one.
