License renewal : how is the duration added ?
How is the term of the license extension calculated1. If you still have remaining term and activate the extension, your current validity date will be taken and +1 year will be calculated. You do not lose any remaining term. You then have the new year plus the term it was still valid. Example: License is valid until 31.01. – You activate the renewal on 01/10. – then the license is valid until 31.01. valid for the next year.
2. If your license expired a few days or a month ago, the year counts from the moment of activation. The days when the license has already expired do not count. Example: License is valid until 31.01. – You activate the extension on 03/01. - then the license is valid until 01.03. valid for the next year
